Are New Year's Resolutions a Good Idea?

So, 2023 is almost upon us. Are you someone who sets new year’s resolutions or not?!

Why have new year's resolutions?


I’ll be honest, I have very mixed views on them. On the one hand, having direction, purpose and a goal(s) to focus on is no bad thing at all. But on the other hand, why set something arbitrarily because it is 1 Jan? If it was something you really wanted, would you have waited until January to make a commitment to it?


Whether you are a fan of new year’s resolutions or not, I do believe there is value in having aims, ambitions and goals – as long as they are what you really want (not what you think you should want because of your age / gender / circumstances etc) and you are prepared to put in the effort and commitment to give them every chance of success. You can work with me through my 1-1 coaching partnerships in 3 ways:


1. Intensive – a short-term (up to 6 weeks) package of 3 x 60 min sessions to focus on your priorities, and find clarity and your next steps, £260


2. Core – a mid-term (4 months) package of 7 sessions (including two deeper dive 75 min sessions) to really understand your challenges fears and hopes and open up new possibilities, £595


3. Premium – a longer term (6 months) package of 11 sessions (including two deeper dive 75 min sessions) to get to grips with your concerns resistance and fears, manage any ‘trip hazards’ along the journey and evaluate your progress as we go. £815
